Assessment & Planning
for new Communities for All Ages Site(s)
These training and consulting services are generally contracted by funders interested in supporting local communities to develop strategies that address critical issues from a multi-generational perspective and enhance the well being of all age groups. Over a 6-8 month period, the Communities for All Ages (CFAA) National Office will support communities selected by funders to form a cross sector, multi-generational team, map local resources, identify common challenges across generations and develop a workable plan of action on a critical issue. The selected sites and their funders will join the Communities for All Ages National Network.
Overview of Services:

Consultation with funder: selection of sites, identification of resources

On-site training for new site(s): 3 on site trainings(e.g. initial overview of CFAA, facilitation of community-wide visioning/feedback meeting and action planning)

Phone-based technical assistance for new site(s): 10-15 hours technical assistance on planning and assessment activities such as: recruitment of multi-generational team members, assessment of needs and resources related to critical community issues, facilitation of multi-generational focus groups, examination of opportunities for lifelong civic engagement, identification of physical infrastructures to support intergenerational interaction and healthy living for all age groups, and development of action plan and participatory evaluation strategies
