CFAA Peekskill Partner Pilots an Intergenerational Faith in Action Day on July 25 2010

We all want to  make  a difference but sometimes we just need a little help getting started.

On Sunday, July 25^th Mt. Olivet Baptist Church (MOBC) is cancelling it regular weekend services in order to make a difference  in our community.  This is our Faith In Action day—a day that mobilizes our entire congregation to join hands in a non-traditional form of worship thru community service.   It’s a unique collaboration that will impact the community in a positive way.

We are partnering with local agencies including Jan Peek Shelter, The Preservation Company Inc. & Support Connection.   On this day our goal is to mobilize 100 + volunteers of all ages and abilities to paint, perform minor house repairs, assemble baskets of comfort and pick up trash.

Where             Meet  us at  “The Summit “ - 1432 Park Street (formerly the Park St School)

Peekskill, NY

We especially need volunteers for Home Maintenance and Neighborhood Clean Sweep service projects.  I invite you to come and serve with us!  It won’t be glamorous, but a little hard work is going to be mixed with genuine caring and friendship.
